Tori Sundheim joined the Nevada Association of Counties as Public Lands and Natural Resources Coordinator in August of 2015 and works closely with each of Nevada’s 17 counties to help them leverage their role in the planning and management of public lands for multiple uses and an overall balance among important but some times conflicting resource-based uses in Nevada.
Ms. Sundheim earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from Emory University before attending McGeorge School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2013. After becoming a member of the California bar, she enrolled as an L.L.M in Water Resources while working in the field on behalf of tribes, government, environmental groups, and farmers in the protection of their natural and water resources. Tori worked with the Law Office of Margaret J. Vick, the Delta Stewardship Council, Soluri Meserve, Fredericks Peebles and Morgan, and the Water and Power Law Group. She received her LL.M. in 2015. Very active as a student, she held leadership roles in a number of student organizations at McGeorge, including the Public Legal Services Society and the McGeorge Jewish Law Students Association. In 2010, she co-founded and was President of the Water Law Society, and in 2013, she founded the Water Law Journal and co-chaired the California Water Law Symposium.
